GREAT SUCCESS IN DUESSELDORF AND HAMBURG

THESE WERE THE SPRING FAIRS 2023!

Positive conclusion on the spring trade fairs 2023
HAGOLA draws an all-round positive conclusion after this year's spring trade fairs EuroShop and INTERNORGA. After the trade fair break due to the pandemic – or the associated restrictions at the past events – visitors to the two major trade fairs in Duesseldorf and Hamburg were now »hot« for new things and personal contacts. The HAGOLA trade fair team looks back on many exciting discussions, new contacts and ideas and a successful trade fair restart.

The partly rapid and significant changes and challenges in the catering industry and the associated search for solutions were noticeable in all areas of the two trade fairs, Edgar Hanken (Sales Manager HAGOLA) states by way of introduction. High energy and personnel costs, staff shortages and changes in user behavior were topics in many discussions. Especially in challenging times, he said, innovative solutions and durable capital equipment are important for the restaurant and catering industry – including bakeries and butchers. For many operators, he said, there is a balancing act to be done between traditional business, not enough staff, flexible solutions for seasonal events and exciting highlights and concepts to adapt to the changing circumstances.

HAGOLA was able to present an extensive portfolio of product solutions from the areas of »cooling, keeping warm and presenting food and beverages« in Duesseldorf and Hamburg, explains Stefan Rakers (CEO/Managing Director HAGOLA) and is pleased about the positive response to the presented highlights. In addition to the new fish and delicatessen rondel, an exclusive presentation furniture for fish, meat, delicatessen or cheese, the focus was on the new showcase programme and various options for keeping food warm. With the presented mobile counter solutions – be it the YOURBAR event counter, the classic mobile counter or the additional equipment COCKTAILJET from TAPMATIX for the automatic mixing of programmed drink recipes – the company has absolutely hit the nerve of the times, Edgar Hanken sums up. Stefan Rakers is also pleased with the course of the two trade fairs – the personal discussions with the customers, the explanations »on the product« and the trying out in practice cannot be completely replaced by digital presentations for technical products.

Nevertheless, the »digital« factor is also decisive for HAGOLA – thus, the extensive product database (German language only at the moment) went online in time for the EuroShop in Duesseldorf, Rakers and Hanken are both pleased to report. In addition to generally accessible information on all standard articles, specialist dealers and planners benefit from a protected login area with prices and CAD data. Fortunately, according to Edgar Hanken, the unscheduled break at the trade shows did not diminish the quality of customer discussions. Many trade show visitors had already informed themselves very well in advance and were looking for answers and inspiration with specific plans, questions and ideas. Stefan Rakers and Edgar Hanken jointly drew a positive conclusion to EuroShop and INTERNORGA – both trade fairs had absolutely lived up to their reputation as respective leading trade fairs, the mood and voices of the trade visitors had been consistently positive and optimistic and the presented exhibition highlights had received consistently positive feedback.
